Will my insurance cover Invisalign®?

Many but not all dental insurance plans will cover some costs of Invisalign® and a few will cover 100%. Remember all insurance plans are different but we would be happy to help you find out to see what your particular insurance plan will cover. We are here to help you. We also offer affordable in-house payment plans as well if needed.

How long will my treatment be with my Invisalign® aligners?

That is a hard question to answer. Everyone is different and it depends on the severity of your case. However, the average case takes about 8-12 months. For some severe cases 12-16 months. Compliance is key here. If you don’t wear your aligners, your teeth will not move and treatment will be longer.

How does Invisalign® work?

These clear, virtually invisible, aligners are custom-made for you. You wear them over your teeth and they gradually shift your teeth into place. You change these aligners once every week unless told otherwise. This is done until treatment is finished and you are happy with your new smile.

How much does Invisalign® cost?

We offer the best Invisalign® deal. We provide an All-Inclusive Invisalign® package. This includes Consultation, Photos, X-rays, All Visit Checks, iTero Scan, One Set of Retainers, and any necessary corrections. No hidden fees. We also offer in-house payment plans for Invisalign®. What restrictions will I have with Invisalign®?

Unlike traditional metal braces, your Invisalign® aligners can be taken out of your mouth. This will aid in flossing and bushing, keeping your teeth clean and healthy. However, if you don’t wear your Invisalign® or wear them long enough, the process won’t work. If your aligners remain in your mouth when you eat, stay away from turmeric, curry, and yellow mustard since they will stain which will not come out.

Can I drink alcohol? Coffee? Tea?

Yes, you can. However, please remember to remove your aligners and rinse with water or brush afterward. It is important to clean your teeth after any sugary drinks. You don’t want to create a sugar bath for your teeth and let them sit for hours.

What is the best alternative to metal braces?

Invisalign® is a clear, virtually invisible, alternative to metal braces. Invisalign® straightens teeth just like braces. It allows you to eat whatever foods you enjoy and brush and floss normally afterward. At Queen’s Park Dental, you can wear your clear aligners for less money than metal braces.

Is Invisalign® better than metal braces?

Metal braces and Invisalign® both help straighten your teeth and correct your bite. In some cases, metal braces may work better for you than Invisalign®. This will be discussed at your complimentary consultation. Many people prefer Invisalign® over braces because it is more esthetic, easier to eat, easier to clean your teeth, and more comfortable. However, metal braces are often a better choice for children because they require less responsibility in terms of wearing them as they are bonded to your teeth. They don’t have the option to remove them and clean their teeth properly.

How do I clean my aligners or retainers?

You can take a small amount of toothpaste on your toothbrush and brush your clear aligners daily. You may also use Invisalign’s® Cleaning Crystals to clean your aligners. Put approximately 200mL’s of warm (never hot) water in a bowl, place Invisalign® Cleaning Crystals in and stir to dissolve, let soak for 15-30 min making sure both upper and lower aligners or retainers are submerged, and then rinse them thoroughly with water before putting them back in your mouth. You can purchase additional Invisalign® Cleaning Crystals here.
